In preparation for our Ministry and Mission Review Summit, which will be held on Saturday 18th February from 8.30am to 11.30am (with breakfast from 7.30-8.20am for those who want it), we now send you again the NCLS summary profile, as well as a copy of our congregation’s Strategic Plan.  We would love as many people as possible to come and join us for this time of reflection, discussion, and planning, and even if you don’t have time to read any of this material, or consider the questions, we want you to come. But if you do have opportunity to read either of the documents and/or consider the questions as a way of being prepared for the day, then please find them attached and below.

Breakfast offered on the day will consist of tea/coffee, and bacon and egg rolls.  We are after some more volunteers to help with this, please have a chat to Stephen Huth if you can assist.

Some questions you might like to reflect on, or discuss with others, are:

  • How has God blessed us here in our Church family at St. Andrews, what do we have to be thankful for?
  • Are there any areas which our NCLS feedback shows that we need to give more attention and effort to, or which are not being addressed in the way laid out in our Strategic Plan?
  • How do we see ourselves, and where do we believe God is calling us in our ministry and mission?
  • Do you believe there is a defining image or strength of our St. Andrews congregation, something which others know us by?
  • Thinking about what is in our NCLS feedback as what we do well or could do better, and what our Strategic Plan identifies as the areas we want to focus on in our ministry and mission:
    • Can you think of one or two activities/areas of focus/events we could put more focus into or begin as a way of being more active in building on who we are and heading towards where God is calling us to be?
    • Are there any activities/areas of focus/events you are willing to run or be involved with as part of the ministry and mission of our congregation?

The plan for our Summit morning is that we will spend time in small groups discussing questions like these, and after each discussion there will be feedback from each small group to the whole group.  In this way everyone gets the chance to have an input and be heard.

Thank you for your time in reading this email, and in anticipation for reading the two attached documents and reflecting on the questions above.  We are looking forward to this morning as an opportunity to thank God for where He has placed us, what He has blessed us with, and seeking His will and direction for where He is now calling us to go.

If you have any questions or comments about either of the two attached documents, what is in this email, or what is planned for the summit morning, please speak to Pastor Andrew, Michael Friebel, or Stephen Huth.
